FemiLift® is a non-invasive vaginal rejuvenation procedure designed by Alma Lasers and FDA-approved. It uses a CO2 laser to induce collagen renewal, tissue remodeling, and tissue generation in the vagina’s delicate tissues. As the FemiLift® device triggers new cell growth, the tissues thicken in the vaginal canal. Femilift® happens in the comfort of our office, typically takes a total of 10-15 minutes, and does not require general anesthesia. Patients must present with a normal PAP smear prior to treatment and should be secured from their OB/Gyn or Primary Care physician. Patients will also be given a rapid regency test before the procedure.
During the treatment, a 360-degree rotating laser probe is carefully guided throughout the vaginal cavity to ensure the entire vaginal canal is touched with laser energy. This energy discharges precisely when needed to provide complete rejuvenation.
Most patients report minimal discomfort. You may feel pressure as the probe is inserted and warmth and heat as the probe moves closer to the vaginal opening.
There isn’t any downtime after your procedure, meaning you can experience the results the same night. Most daily activities can be safely resumed immediately after vaginal tightening. Some patients feel mild cramping for a few hours after their treatment, and spotting and watery discharge are also common. Many women choose to wear a pantyliner or pad for the first few days.
Although restrictions are minimal, we do ask patients to avoid sexual intercourse and tampons for five days. This gives the vaginal tissues time to heal and remodel. Patients should also avoid swimming, hot tubs, and baths for at least four days.

You will likely feel a warming sensation or a small amount of pressure, but the laser created micro injuries are not painful. Most describe the procedure as much more comfortable than a routine pap smear.
Following the procedure, some women may experience mild cramping for a day or two, but this is generally mild and subsides quickly.
You can return to normal activities following treatment. However, avoid baths, hot tubs, tampons and vaginal sexual intercourse for three days after your treatment to allow your body time to heal.
A FemiLift® package consists of a series of three treatments spaced approximately four weeks apart, followed by an annual treatment to maintain results. Each treatment lasts approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Your provider will advise that you do regular pelvic floor exercises to obtain optimal results.
